JOSH MERRIMAN

June 13, 1996 - September 16, 2017

Our lives were forever changed on that horrific Saturday night, September 16, 2017 when our

beloved son Josh Merriman, died by suicide. He was a 21 year old Robert Morris University

student athlete. He was a defenseman on the RMU D III hockey team and  his teammates were

his brothers. He had played hockey, along with many other sports, since he was 4 years old.

Josh was set to graduate in a mere 3 months. He would have completed his BSBA in finance

after only 3 1/2 years, a semester early. Just 3 days earlier Josh had come home to cut the grass

and he was excitedly telling us about how well he was doing in class, his hockey team was

gearing up for a great season, and he had just applied for a finance job to start right after

graduation.

Josh had a huge personality and he would tell it like it was. He was always the life of the party,

very outgoing, the forever comedian, strong, protective, intelligent, quick witted, confident,

loving son, grandson and brother. religious, athletic and friends with all - from his teammates,

life-long school friends, multi-generational golf and poker friends to his loving and devoted family.

No one saw this coming, Josh seemed to have it all together. There were no signs. If his brain

was injured (he did have a history of multiple concussions) we were not aware. So many have

said that if this could happen to Josh Merriman, it can happen to anyone! Please talk, ask and

check on one another. Keep each other Safe and Sound.

We love you Joshie! We know you are in heaven but, we miss you every minute of every day,

as do so many others! Your mere 21 years on earth positively impacted so many lives. Josh you

will be forever 21.

All our love, Mom, Dad, Emily and your endless circle of friends and family

Forever in our Hearts
